Earlier this year I just so happened to be watching the Dr. Phil show one afternoon. While I don’t always have the time to watch it, this time I did. Now imagine my surprise when near the end of the show, Dr. Phil invites his lovely wife on stage to speak about her skincare line, Robin McGraw Revelation. Now I’m not one to buy things just because I see it advertised on TV, but I have to admit that I was intrigued to find out more. Unfortunately, at that time they were not yet shipping to Canada. Well fast forward to this summer when they reached out to let me know that Robin McGraw Revelation is now available in Canada. I can’t even pretend that I didn’t jump at the chance to test out a few products from the line.
It’s kind of funny that no matter how much skincare stuff I have, I always seem to finish up a whole whack of products at the same time. I don’t know how I always manage to do that, but I do. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. The good news about doing that is that it generally allows me to be able to try out something new and switch up my whole skincare routine. As I started coming to the end of my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, I decided that rather than just buy a new bottle, it was time for something fresh and new. Enter Drunk Elephant Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream ($75 CAD for 50 ml /1.69 fl. oz.).
Now I absolutely love a good face mask. It’s probably the only form of self-care that I actually indulge in on a regular basis. There is something that is just so relaxing and luxurious about a good face mask. Face masks are always something I have indulged in, but never any one particular brand. Well all that changed a few years ago at the One of a Kind Show because that is when I began exploring the world of face masks with Artifact Skin Co.
Introducing NIOD Skincare. Now NIOD isn’t really a new brand and have been around for a few years now. But they are new to me and to the blog. NIOD stands for Non Invasive Options in Dermal Science, and is one of the brands made by DECIEM – The Abnormal Beauty Company. There are currently 18 different products in the NIOD line, with 3 of those being a part of the ‘core regimen’ and the rest falling into the ‘support regimen’ and the ‘Yešti’ line. While I’ve being eyeing NIOD products for a while now, I’ve been a little intimidated to try them out. But as part of the DECIEM Black Friday deals that I just couldn’t pass up, I managed to get my hands on a few NIOD products to test out. View Post
As a blogger, I get pitched all kinds of products and services. They usually promise something, or make some kind of claim about said product or service. Now my inner cynic doesn’t usually believe anything promised in the promotional material; it’s just not in my nature. Of course, every now and then a product lands on my desk that changes my mind and makes me a believer. It doesn’t happen often, so when it does, I certainly feel the need to blog about it. Allow me to introduce you to one such product; Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream! View Post
