DEREK LAM 10 CROSBY COLLECTION SET
I’ve been sitting on this one for a while. Anyone who reads this blog or knows me in person knows that I love fragrances of all kinds. So when a new scent comes out, I tend to be all over it. The only thing, in my mind, that is better than a new scent is when you get 10 new scents. Even better than the 10 scents is when you can get the 10 new scents in one set and try them all out. This is what happened when I was one day perusing the Sephora website and saw the DEREK LAM 10 CROSBY COLLECTION SET ($115 CAD). At the time, there was little to no information on the set or what the scents smelled like, but I ordered it anyway and I’ve been in love ever since.
Atelier Cologne Necessaire Nomade Gift Set
So I have been stalking Atelier Cologne for a long time. I gaze at their different scents on the Sephora.ca website, I stop and try to smell the scents when I’m in-store, and just generally lust after them and try to decide just which of the scents I am going to get. Here’s where I run into a problem. When I’m in Sephora, I have a very hard time smelling and differentiating between anything but the strongest of scents. They are all so close together in-store that more often than not, what I think I’m smelling, I’m really not smelling and when I get it home, I invariably don’t like the scent I bought or it doesn’t smell like it did in-store because in-store I was smelling a mix of different scents all at once. And because I absolutely hate returning anything, once I buy it, I usually end up keeping it, even if I don’t like it. But I resolved to stop doing this earlier in the year. I decided to only buy things I really liked so here is where the Atelier Cologne Necessaire Nomade Gift Set comes in. For a price of $55 CAD, I am able to test out 8 different scents from Collection Azur line from Atelier Cologne without spending a fortune. I consider this a win my friends. Invariably, I am not going to like all of the scents, but when you figure that this set is about $6.87 per 0.14 oz fragrance in this set, it’s not too much of a hit financially if you don’t like one of the scents. So what do I think of the various scents in the Atelier Cologne Necessaire Nomade Gift Set? Well follow me and I’ll let you know.
Demeter Bonfire Cologne Spray
One of my fondest memories of Fall is the annual Bonfire I used to attend with a bunch of friends. We held these Bonfire’s for about to years before we all eventually drifted away. The annual Bonfire, rather than signalling the end of summer, instead symbolized us all coming together and drawing close with our loved ones. I loved those Bonfire’s and I’m bummed that we don’t hold them anymore. Thankfully the lovely people over at Demeter have managed to capture the distinct scent of a Bonfire and bottle it up.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; hands down the best part of being a blogger for me is being able to work with really awesome companies and brands on really cool projects and ideas. So when the opportunity to work with Demeter Fragrance to create a Custom Fall Scent Memory came about, I was all over it, like white on rice. I mean really how could I not? View Post
CLEAN Cashmere Eau de Parfum
I don’t have much experience with fragrances from CLEAN. I mean, I own a few of their mini rollerball versions, but that is pretty much it. They are always in my peripheral vision when I’m in the store looking for a new fragrance, but I never quite make it over to sample their wares. Big mistake; huge mistake really because if the rest of the scents on offer from CLEAN are as amazing as the newest CLEAN Cashmere Eau de Parfum is, I really need to be adding them to my fragrance library immediately.
