Purchased by Me
I have been trying to get my hands on Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum for several years now. I saw it and tested it out on my very first shopping trip to Murale and I absolutely loved it. Of course, I made the ultimately stupid decision not to pick it up right then and there and I’ve regretted it because after that I wasn’t able to find it anywhere. So when it was re-released earlier this year as part of the celebration of 30 years of the Guerlain Terracotta Powder, I did a little happy dance and picked it up. Actually, I picked up four bottles because I’m determined not to be without this one again. View Post
Commodity Magnolia Eau de Parfum
A long, long time ago…well at least it feels like it was a long, long time ago, I told you about my love for fragrances from Commodity! Well that love hasn’t changed and over a year later I am slowly, but surely expanding my collection of Commodity Fragrances. Allow me to introduce you to my latest acquisition to my collection; Commodity Magnolia Eau de Parfum ($120 CAD).
Maison Margiela REPLICA By the Fireplace & REPLICA Lipstick On Eau de Toilette
Happy FriYAY everyone. I’m always seriously happy when Friday rolls around and today is extra special because I am able to chat about two new scents that have recently landed across my desk. Now I love fragrance and lord knows I’m a sucker for a well designed bottle. So it should come as no surprise that I have actively been stalking two new scents from the Maison Margiela REPLICA line of fragrances. When I say stalking, I mean serious stalking. If these beauties were people, restraining orders would probably be involved :). While they are not yet available for purchase in Canada, I managed to get my hands on both, so allow me to introduce you to the Maison Margiela REPLICA By the Fireplace & Lipstick On Eau de Toilette.
CLEAN Reserve Six Piece Travel Layering Collection
One day, I will stop buying fragrances. One day, I will stop buying fragrances. One day…oh who am I kidding. I’m never going to stop buying fragrances. I know it, you know it, so let’s all just learn to accept it. At least that’s what I told my local Sephora cashier when I was picking up the CLEAN Reserve Six Piece Travel Layering Collection. We shared a laugh over my fragrance addiction, and immediately started testing out and gushing over the scents found in the CLEAN Reserve Six Piece Travel Layering Collection.
Demeter Foolproof Blending Duo – Jasmine & Lavender
One of the greatest things and sometimes the worst things about fragrance is that when it comes to the vast majority of scents you buy, they are a blend. What I mean is that when you pick up your favourite perfume, what you are smelling is a bunch of different scents, all blending into one to come out with the finished product. This isn’t the case with scents that you find from the Demeter Fragrance Library as with their scents if it says it smells like Jasmine, then it smells like Jasmine and Jasmine only. While I find this a great thing, what I really didn’t understand until very recently is that you can take the individual scents that Demeter offers and combine them to create your very own unique scent. How did I not know this? Like I really, really missed the memo somewhere, but luckily I have now wised up. And while you can combine any of the multitude of scents Demeter has on offer to create your own custom scent, if you are as new to this as I am, you may want to start off by using one of the Demeter Foolproof Blending Duos like I am with this handy Jasmine & Lavender set.
