So I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. Nor do I tend to fall for all the marketing nonsense that we see surrounding the day. Who can stomach that much pink and red? One exception to this rule is the DAVIDsTEA 2018 Valentine’s Collection. This year they bypassed everything pink and red and went with a very soft romantic theme of peach and green with flowers. Honestly, it reminds me more of a Spring Collection than something for Valentine’s Day. But regardless, this collection is comprised of gorgeous items and amazing tea. So let’s take a look at my picks from the DAVIDsTEA 2018 Valentine’s Collection.
So one of the first things I picked up was the Sweet Talk Tea Collection for $26 CAD. It has 12 different teas and infusions. I love little tea sets like this because it allows me to try out a bunch of different teas and find of if I like them without having to buy large quantities. Plus each little container in the set has enough for two cups of tea. I find these sets great to use in the office throughout the day.
Of course I also needed a new travel mug so I picked up the 20 oz Rose Gold Perfect Tumbler for $18 CAD. I had this a couple of years ago in pink when it was first released and I loved it. Through all of my moves, I ended up losing the lid rendering the tumbler pretty much useless. I’ve wanted to pick up a new one for a while, so when I saw that they had it in Rose Gold it was a given that it would be mine. It’s still as awesome as the original version, with the added bonus of the lid actually having the ability to open and close this time.
Now I took a look at these mugs online and thought they looked pretty, but that I didn’t really need any more mugs. Then when I went in-store, I realized that the online pictures don’t do them any justice so I picked up the Dewdrop Glass Rustic Mug and the Peony Pink Glass Rustic Mug. They retail for $18 CAD each or you can get them both for $30 CAD. These mugs are absolutely gorgeous. They are delicate frosted glass with flowers painted on them. I might not end up using them an awful lot, but I certainly do like looking at them.
I also picked up the February 2018 Tea of the Month Jasmine Crème Brulée. This tea smells so amazing and tastes just as good. It’s also a part of the DAVIDsTEA 2018 Valentine’s Collection, and you can get it in different containers. I just picked up 50 grams to try it out, but I’m already loving it so much that I’ll probably stock up on this limited edition tea. I hear it’s even better as a latte so of course I’ve ordered a milk frother so I can make them at home.
I also decided to try out some of the Sweet Tart Tea while in-store and I loved it. Of course I think picked up 50 grams to bring home. I can very easily see myself drinking a lot of this one because I love the Sweet Tart candies and this tea contains little pieces of them.
Ever since I was diagnosed as Diabetic, I don’t eat that much candy anymore. But when I do eat candy, it tends to be from DAVIDsTEA. While the candies are not sugar free, I find that they are not as bad as most other candies and don’t spike my blood sugar that much. Since I recently have run out, I picked up a pack of these Sparkling Rose Gummies for $6 CAD. They are made for DAVIDsTEA by Squish Candies and contain non-alcoholic flavouring.
The last two items I picked up are the Rose Gold Perfect Spoon for $7 CAD and the Peony Pink So Rosy Tea Tin for $5 CAD. Of course I already own several of the Perfect Spoon, but this one is in Rose Gold. Enough said. I also really like the decorative tea tins. So whenever a new one comes out, I tend to pick one up. Sometimes I use them for other things, but I normally will store my favourite tea from the collection in it.
So there you have my picks from the DAVIDsTEA 2018 Valentine’s Collection. Now I can’t wait to dive into it all and get to brewing. What about you? Did you pick anything up from the collection? Dont’ forget to join me next Sunday where I review the DAVIDsTEA February 2018 Tea of the Month Jasmine Crème Brulée.
Until next time,
