NIVEA | Fall Skincare Routine

NIVEA Fall Skincare Routine Fall is without a doubt my favourite season.  I love the weather, the changing leaves and pumpkin spice everything!  Fall is the time of year when I completely switch out my wardrobe from warm weather clothing to clothes more suitable for the cooler weather.  What I often forget to do is to change up my skincare routine to suit the change in weather. Well not this year.  This year, I’ve made a concerted effort to change things up and develop a NIVEA Fall Skincare Routine.

After I have cleansed my skin, I start off with the Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Replenishing Pearls ($17.57 for 40 ml).  These pearls are enriched with coenzyme Q10, hyaluronic acid and creatine.  While I’m not too concerned just yet about wrinkles, I am concerned about hydration.  My skin is quite dehyrated normally, but in the cooler months it tends to get so much worse so I’m always looking for a product that is going to help out with that.  While not as hydrating as I want it to be, the Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Replenishing Pearls make my skin so silky smooth it’s unreal.

Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream SPF30 ($17.57 for 50 ml) is pretty much my go to face cream at the moment.  Normally, when it comes to a face cream, I find them either too runny, or too thick.  When they are too runny, they don’t provide enough hydration and leave my face looking wet rather than actually moisturizing my skin.  When they are too thick they don’t provide any moisture at all and act almost as a moisture barrier instead.  That’s very helpful if you are out skiing or in the elements all day, but it’s no so handy for me.  The Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream SPF30 is a face cream that falls right into the ‘thick’ category. A little of this stuff goes a very long way and leaves my skin moisutrized without being greasy.  The SPF30 is a bonus because I would forget to use it on it’s own.

Q10plus Anti-Wrinkle Night Care ($17.57 for 50 ml) is a welcome addition to my skincare routine.  I don’t often use a night cream, which is such a shame when you think about it.  I put this one on about an hour before bedtime to let it sink right into my skin.  It’s the extra moisture my skin needs in the colder weather.  It does all of the hard work while I’m sleeping leaving my skin ready to face another day.

Now that I’ve taken care of my face, I can’t forget the rest of my skin.  This is where NIVEA Cream ($9.99 for 250 ml) comes in handy.  This stuff is a cult classic for a very good reason.  While it is extremely thick, it is also super moisturizing and can be used anywhere and as needed.  My favourite way to use the NIVEA Cream is on my feet at night.  I simply slather some of this on and cover my feet with a good pair of socks and I wake up in the morning with instantly soft feet.

Sometimes simple is better. I normally get caught up in these huge, complicated routines. So it’s nice to bring it right back to the basics.
