Earlier this year I just so happened to be watching the Dr. Phil show one afternoon. While I don’t always have the time to watch it, this time I did. Now imagine my surprise when near the end of the show, Dr. Phil invites his lovely wife on stage to speak about her skincare line, Robin McGraw Revelation. Now I’m not one to buy things just because I see it advertised on TV, but I have to admit that I was intrigued to find out more. Unfortunately, at that time they were not yet shipping to Canada. Well fast forward to this summer when they reached out to let me know that Robin McGraw Revelation is now available in Canada. I can’t even pretend that I didn’t jump at the chance to test out a few products from the line.
I received the Robin McGraw Revelation Be the Brightest One in the Room Luxury Skincare set ($115 USD). This is a 3 step brightening system that contains:
- Twinkle Twinkle, You’re A Star! Triple Action Brightening Polish (1.7 fl. oz/50 mL)
- Let There Be Bright! Triple Action Brightening Serum (1 fl. oz/30 mL)
- Starlight, Face Bright! Triple Action Brightening Night Cream (1 fl. oz/30 mL)

Now the picture above is what I received in my PR package, so if you order this set, you will receive everything in it minus the candy, bow ring, and crystal USB.
Twinkle Twinkle, You’re A Star! Triple Action Brightening Polish
This polish is one that you only need to use 2-3 times a week. I only use it twice a week and that is more than enough for my skin. The granules are not too coarse and it gives you just the right amount of grit to slough off the dead skin. It is not harsh and doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry and tight after use. As with any product, I would recommend that you spot test it to ensure your skin doesn’t have any issues with it, but my highly reactive skin has experienced no problems with its use at all. The one downside is the smell of this polish. It actually has a very medicinal smell to it. It doesn’t linger, but it’s not the most pleasant smell to have in a face scrub.
Let There Be Bright! Triple Action Brightening Serum
Out of all three products, this one is my least favourite. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad serum or anything. I just have others that I prefer more than this one. But in any case, it is non-sticky and sinks right into the skin very quickly. I primarily use this one at night, but it could also be used in the daytime.
Starlight, Face Bright! Triple Action Brightening Night Cream
Love, love, love the Starlight, Face Bright! Triple Action Brightening Night Cream. It’s not too heavy, but it’s not too light. It sinks right into my skin and not only provides my dry skin with some much-needed moisture, but my skin also looks amazing in the morning when I wake up. A little of this stuff goes a long, long way.
Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the Robin McGraw Revelation skincare line. Well, I am with the products I have had the opportunity to test out so far. They are very good and within a pretty affordable price range. The products themselves, while they are not going to make you look dramatically different, they do help to give your skin that brightness it needs. I can definately see these products being a part of my regular skincare routine, especially in the dry winter months. I guess it’s pretty lucky for me that Robin McGraw Revelation is now available in Canada.
