Lately, I’ve actually become very serious about my hair and developing a tried and true routine. I’ve been wearing my hair natural since 2012 when I went ahead with ‘the big chop’. I’ve learned a lot in that time, tried a lot of products, tested out routine’s and methods; but nothing has come as close to perfection for my hair as the LaCoupe Fresh Avocado Collection.
Now the LaCoupe Fresh Avocado Collection is designed to provide Frizz Control to your hair. Normally, I kind of roll my eyes at those descriptions on the bottles because they rarely do what they say they do. In this case, I was presently surprised when my the level of frizz in y 3C/4A natural curly hair was diminished dramatically after having incorporated the shampoo and conditioner into my routine.
The shampoo itself really cut through product buildup on my hair. It provided some lather, but not too much and left my hair feeling squeaky clean. Honestly, it was the kind of clean that you usually only find with a clarifying shampoo. But it also didn’t feel harsh on my hair and my hair continued to feel very moisturized.
The next step in the routine was the LaCoupe Fresh Avocado Frizz Control Conditioner. Now typically, I need to use a lot of conditioner so despite the fact that this was a 500 ml bottle, I was anticipating having to use like half of the bottle as I normally do. Well that so wasn’t the case when it came to this conditioner. Less was really more in the case of this stuff. It provided adequate slip for my hair, which made detangling my curls a breeze. It was non-greasy and didn’t way my hair down at all and unlike most other conditioners, I was able to wash it all out and didn’t have to leave a little in my hair in order to keep my hair manageable.
All in all, I had a really great experience with the LaCoupe Fresh Avocado Collection. It got my hair super clean and removed all of the pesky product buildup that can normally leave your hair looking quite lank. At the same time, it provided more than adequate moisture and had my hair looking amazing all week-long. I was able to push wash day for a full seven days, which I’m not normally able to do.
The LaCoupe Fresh Avocado Collection is available at Walmart and the Shampoo and Conditioner retail for $8.98 each. In the picture above, all I am using in my hair after shampooing and conditioning with the LaCoupe Fresh Avocado Collection is the Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner. Only having to use three products in my hair is a kind of a novelty for me; a novelty that I want to continue.
