TOO FACED White Peach Eye Shadow Palette

TOO FACED White Peach Eye Shadow Palette

The other day I finally managed to get my hands on the TOO FACED White Peach Eye Shadow Palette ($55 CAD).  I’ve been eyeing this palette since it came out, but couldn’t actually find it in stores.  I made a promise  that if I was on the fence about something, I would only purchase it if I was 100$ sure.  I am  tired of buying a palette online and then having to return it because it doesn’t work.  Ain’t nobody got time for that.  Luckily for me, when I did manage to find it in-store, and I was able to swatch and play around with it, the TOO FACED White Peach Eye Shadow Palette turned out to be a palette I wanted to spend my money on.

The packaging on this palette is super cute and very sturdy.  It is the same size as the TOO FACED Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eye Shadow Palette and is also a part of the Peaches and Cream Collection.  Like all palettes released by TOO FACED, this palette is scented and smells like White Peaches.  The scent isn’t as strong as the original TOO FACED Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette, but is no less pleasant.

The palette contains a mix of 12 matte, shimmer and glitter eye shadow shades.  The shades in this palette are the reason why I was so hesitant to buy it in the first place.  As you can see from the picture, they look very light and washed out.  Normally, that doesn’t really translate very well for us WOC, and I give you the TOO FACED White Chocolate Chip Palette for reference.

But as you can see from the swatches above, the shades in the TOO FACED White Peach Eye Shadow Palette, while on the lighter side, actually do work quite well on a darker skin tone.  The matte shades apply really smoothly and have little fall out.  The glitter and shimmer shades are a bit more difficult to use.  But once you get the hang of them, they work very well.  My fave shades are Peach Suede and Glistening Peach.

Overall

I like the TOO FACED White Peach Eye Shadow Palette more than I thought I would.  The shades are pretty versatile and it can be used as a great starter palette.  Is it a must have for every collection?  No, it’s not; but having being able to reach for it is certainly not going to hurt.  It’s not too pricey which puts it in reach for most people and makes it a welcome addition to any collection.
