The EVE LOM Cleanser is a long time staple in my skincare routine. It’s actually been a staple in a lot of people’s skincare routines for a long, long time. While I am not that old, I can remember a time before the EVE LOM Cleanser and it really wasn’t pretty. I can still feel the dryness of my skin from using soap to wash my face. Then Eve came along and introduced the world to this balm cleanser, slapped a washcloth in people’s hands and the rest, as they say, is history.
When I first started making my own money, the EVE LOM Cleanser was my first necessary luxury purchase. What does necessary luxury mean? Well, it means that you absolutely need it, but the price point makes it so that you never allow anyone to borrow or use it. Seriously, if you touch my EVE LOM Cleanser, I may have to throw some hands.
WHAT, WHY, HOW, AND WHEN
The EVE LOM Cleanser is a cleansing balm, so it obviously should be used at the very beginning of your routine. You apply the balm directly onto your face using small circular motions. You should then dip the EVE LOM Muslin Cloth into warm water, ring it out and press onto the face. Hold it for five seconds before doing it again. Once you have done this step a few times, you can then dip the cloth back into the warm water and remove traces of the balm from your face using small circular motions. This provides a very gentle exfoliation and this method is normally how I use this balm, especially when I’m traveling.
Now on days when I’ve worn a full face of makeup, apply this balm to a wet face and massage it into my skin, including my eye area, and rinse when I’m done. If I was wearing makeup before this step, I am certainly not wearing any once I’m done. This is a really rich cleanser so I only use it 2x-3x a week in the evening. My typical routine looks like this: EVE LOM Cleanser > water-based cleanser > toner > essence > serum > moisturizer/sleeping mask/face oil.
HOW DO I FEEL ABOUT IT?
In short, I love it. The EVE LOM Cleanser is the one product I have had in my skincare regimen for years and I don’t see that changing at any point. I know I’m not alone in this sentiment and there is a reason why it regularly sells out. I don’t always use it, because I am often testing out new skincare products, but this is the one product I always go back to. If my skin is acting up or just needs a bit of extra TLC, the EVE LOM Cleanser is what I turn to. While it is a bit on the pricey side, it does last forever. A 100ml tub of this stuff will last me a good year because I never have to use a lot of the product to be effective. You can buy it in four sizes, and I would only recommend the travel size if you don’t have space in your luggage for one of the larger tubs. But if you are going to pack one full-sized skincare product in your luggage, make it the EVE LOM Cleanser.
