As much as I love DAVIDsTEA, I often forget that every month they have a Tea of the Month. Maybe it’s because I don’t usually make it into the store at the beginning of the month when the Tea of the Month is usually being promoted. But not this time; this time I managed to be in-store right at the beginning of the month and had the opportunity to sample the latest offering for March 2017; DAVIDsTEA Lemon Pound Cake Oolong Tea, and I’ve been drinking it ever since.
As much as I like lemon’s, when it comes to tea, I always find that lemon’s remind me of being sick. Or, probably more accurately, trying to get over being sick. Tea with lemon and honey anyone? But the DAVIDsTEA Lemon Pound Cake Oolong Tea doesn’t bring any of that to mind at all. Instead, whenever I have a cup of this absolutely lovely tea I instantly think of the Starbucks Lemon Loaf.
This tea contains Oolong tea, lemongrass, lemon peel, sunflower blossom, white hibiscus blossom, natural and artificial pound cake and lemon flavour.
While the DAVIDsTEA Lemon Pound Cake Oolong Tea tastes absolutely amazing hot, it is out of this world as an iced tea. I can hardly wait for hot summer days and sipping this one out on the patio. It would also probably be amazing to use it to make some gelato, ice cream, or even your own lemon loaf.
I personally love the DAVIDsTEA Lemon Pound Cake Oolong Tea unsweetened, but a little sugar wouldn’t hurt this tea in the slightest. It’s rich, buttery and absolutely perfect after a long, stressful day.
This medium caffeine tea is available at your local DAVIDsTEA store or online for $9.98/50 g.
