So here’s the thing, I’ve been to Ripley’s Aquarium before. In fact, I went last year with my dad and I reviewed it here. I’m not going to lie because as much fun as I had going with my dad, I didn’t expect to head on back for another few years. But since I took my dad, my mom has been hinting, not so subtly, about wanting to go. And if it’s anything I’ve learned when dealing with my parents is that if I take one to do something, then I need to take the other one as well. Talk about high maintenance. So off I went to the website to get us some tickets when low and behold I found out that Ripley’s Aquarium is doing something new. On top of it already being an aquarium, which is just awesome, they were now doing a Friday Night Jazz Program, complete with cash bars stationed throughout the aquarium. GREATEST.THING.EVER.
I love fish, and I love the ocean. There is just something that I find so calming about being around large bodies of water. Ever since Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada opened here in Toronto a few years ago I have been dying to go. Well this weekend, my father and I headed down there to check it out. I must say, it was fitting timing as it is once again time for The Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
Ah Travel Planning. How I love you more than planning any of the other things I plan…and I plan a lot. While the year is not yet half over, I’m still planning my last few trips for the rest of the year.
1 | May 2015 | Detroit, Michigan | Technically, this isn’t really isn’t a traditional trip, but I consider anything that requires me to travel more than two hours from home and require me to cross the border worth mentioning. I’m actually heading down to ‘The D’, as we tend to refer to it, for a wedding. But this time around, I am hoping to get some great photos of the city of Detroit.
