Drunk Elephant Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream

It’s kind of funny that no matter how much skincare stuff I have, I always seem to finish up a whole whack of products at the same time.  I don’t know how I always manage to do that, but I do.  EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.  The good news about doing that is that it generally allows me to be able to try out something new and switch up my whole skincare routine.  As I started coming to the end of my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, I decided that rather than just buy a new bottle, it was time for something fresh and new.  Enter Drunk Elephant Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream ($75 CAD for 50 ml /1.69 fl. oz.).

Purchased by Me

With warmer weather now being a part of my reality, I am always looking for ways to simplify my makeup routine.  I still want to look as good, if not better, than I always do, but I just want it to be easier.  I don’t want to spend hours putting on a full-face of makeup only to have it look like crap by the time I reach the office.  So I have been testing out a variety of products to see just what will find it’s way onto my new simplified summer makeup routine.  One of those products is none other than the Milk Makeup Supernova Holographic Stick ($34 CAD).

New Ultra HD Products from MAKE UP FOR EVER

MAKE UP FOR EVER is one brand that never fails to disappoint.  I don’t think I have ever come across any of their products that fails to do exactly what it’s supposed to do.  So it’s no surprise that when it was announced that new Ultra HD Products were being released to compliment the ever popular Ultra HD Foundation, that the new products immediately made it to the top of my ‘must try’ list.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II Eye Shadow Palette

Back in December when I was in New York with my cousin Taj, I picked up the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II Eyeshadow Palette ($47 CAD).  We spent a lot of time in various Sephora stores while we were there and at that time, I was able to swatch this palette that I had been eyeing online, but wasn’t yet available in store in Canada.  I fell in love with the palette and bought it, even though the exchange rate was a killer.  But really, how was I supposed to resist this crease-free eyeshadow palette with eight cool-toned shades?

MAC x Justine Sky Iridescent Pressed Powder

It seems like forever since I was in a MAC store, but it was actually during Christmas when I was in New York.  In any case, I haven’t really been keeping up with most of their recent releases.  For a while it seems like I kind of fell out of love with the brand, which is kind of sad, because they are awesome.  But then something caught my eye one day while I was on instagram.  Something that made me sit right up and take notice and put MAC right back at the top of my list of favourite makeup brands.  That something is none other than the MAC x Justine Sky Iridescent Pressed Powder ($32 CAD) from the Future Forward Collection.
