While Benefit Cosmetics is a brand that has been around for a long, long time now, it tends to be a brand that generally escapes my notice. Don’t get me wrong; it’s not that their products are bad or anything, it’s just that they tend to not really be #WOCFriendly. Or at least, that’s the impression I have always got from looking at photos of their products. So imagine my surprise a few weeks ago when the Benefit GALifornia & Rockateur Powder Blush ($38 CAD each) caught my eye and made me sit up and take notice.
There are four products found in the Lisap Hydra Care Collection:
- Benefit GALifornia Powder Blush is described as a golden pink. This is the latest offering in the Benefit Box ‘o’ Blush line. This blush is an absolute stunner. It has a bit of a golden tint to it, that you can see in photos. Unfortunately, that gold is just a top layer on the product and doesn’t remain for very long. But the shade is still gorgeous and way more potent that you would think. I think it’s the perfect summer shade and it will work on a variety of skin tones.
- Benefit Rockateur Powder Blush is described a a rose gold shade, which is a pretty apt description. Out of all the other Box ‘o’ Blushes on offer from Benefit, this is the most #WOCFriendly. Not as a blush, mind you, but as a highlighter. As a blush, it makes my face look a bit dusty, so I’ll stick to using this shimmer finish blush as a more highlighter instead.

Overall I’m liking the Benefit GALifornia & Rockateur Powder Blush and I’m pretty happy with my purchase. While there is nothing too earth shattering about either of these shades, I do quite like them. They are very portable and I love that they come with their own little brush. It makes popping one into your purse so much easier.
