AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque

AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque

Welcome to Sheet Maks Sundays here on the blog!  As you can probably tell, it is a new feature designed to not only review the always popular sheet masks, but it will actually give me a chance to finally start making use of the masks in my collection.  Today we are taking a look at the AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque* to kick things off.

AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque

The AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque is actually a two-in-one system consisting of an ampoule and the sheet mask itself.  They are designed to provide instant hydration, firmness and radiance needed to create a photo-ready finish.  I’ve used a lot of sheet masks in my time as a blogger, but I rarely use one that is a two-step process.  Needless to say, I was intrigued by this idea but also wary of making more work for myself.

WHAT’S IN IT?

The AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque is infused with 100 percent pure bamboo sap and AMOREPACIFIC’s hydrating 5‐Hydra Complex™, which is a proprietary fusion of potent Asian botanicals.  Bamboo sap is deeply hydrating, so for someone like me who suffers from dry and dehydrated skin, this will provide a much-needed dose of hydration to your skin.  Bamboo sap also contains a lot of Silica which is one of the most important components in Collagen.  Boosting the Collagen levels in your skin will help reduce the signs of premature ageing, making your skin look younger and firmer.

WHAT, WHY, HOW, AND WHEN

Now I love a good sheet mask as part of my everyday skincare routine.  I know some people use them in the mornings, but I don’t really have the time.  As a general rule, I tend to use sheet masks, especially a two-in-one mask such as AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque, as part of my evening routine.  It just works as part of my daily wind down and self-care routine.

I will apply the mask to freshly cleansed and toned skin and before moisturizing.    With the AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque, I only use this on a weekend and even then I only use it as the rare morning mask.  I have one reason why I do this instead of using it as part of my evening routine.  It all comes down to scent with this one.  The scent on these masks, and really any AMOREPACIFIC products is so strong.  It’s why I have such a love/hate relationship with this brand.  I love what the product does to my skin, but I hate what the scent does to my health.

As you can see from the picture above, the maks is even more unusual than previously thought.  Not only is it a two in one system that has an ampoule that is applied to the skin, but the mask itself is in two parts.  I actually like that it is in two parts more than I thought I would.  I find it easier to apply, and while the mask is a little smaller than I would have liked, it doesn’t have that bad of a fit.

HOW DO I FEEL ABOUT IT?

I really do like the AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque.  It has an okay fit, and it makes my skin look amazing.  It is non-sticky and despite it being a two-in-one system, it takes the same amount of time to use and apply as a regular sheet mask.  I do absolutely loathe the scent which is the reason I only use them once in a blue moon.  I just can’t handle them and anyone who has a scent sensitivity will probably feel the same way.  So while I do like the mask, it won’t actually become part of my regular routine.

The AMOREPACIFIC Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque comes in a pack of two for $35 or a pack of 6 for $120 and is available at Sephora.ca
